About
I spent 15 years building technology solutions for companies that could justify the investment. Large organizations with dedicated teams, real budgets, and the ability to hire firms like the ones I worked for.
The work was good. The clients were great. But the same thing kept happening.
A business owner would reach out — someone running a 30-person operation, growing fast, held together by spreadsheets and manual processes. They needed help. Real help. And almost every time, we couldn't serve them. The engagement was too small. The economics didn't work. They'd get a polite referral to someone else, or a quote that didn't make sense for a company their size.
They'd go back to making do.
I watched that happen for years. Good businesses, run by smart people, stuck with tools and processes that weren't built to scale — because the solutions that could actually help them were built for someone else.
That's why Clearfield exists. The landscape has shifted. What used to require large teams and long timelines can now be built differently. The solutions that were always out of reach for companies this size aren't anymore.
I started Clearfield to close that gap. One client at a time. On my terms, and on theirs.
